Junior Civil Engineer

Lowe, Gravelle & Associates is a multi disciplinary engineering firm providing services to clients in the commercial, industrial and municipal sectors.

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join Lowe, Gravelle & Associates. The successful candidate will be working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within the company. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support to our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects
2. Research and analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data
3. Assist in the development of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
4. Prepare engineering documents, such as reports, design calculations, and drawings
5. Assist in the preparation of site plans and platting documents
6. Assist in the preparation of technical bid documents
7. Monitor construction progress and make periodic site visits
8. Prepare progress reports and coordinate project activities
9. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and applicable laws and regulations
10. Provide technical support to other departments as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. At least two years of experience in infrastructure, structural, environmental or geotechnical engineering.
3. Knowledge of ASTM standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
4. Experience with CAD software and associated design tools
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
10. Detail-oriented and organized.
