Lowe, Gravelle & Associates is a multi disciplinary engineering firm providing services to clients in the commercial, industrial and municipal sectors. 

We are looking for a highly-skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help us continue to provide the highest level of service to our clients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for engineering.

 

Responsibilities:  

 

  1. Design and develop technical solutions for Commercial and Industrial Clients including design/development of machines, piping systems, machine guarding, control systems, mixing processes, P&IDs, HVAC systems, pressure vessels, explosion proof systems, etc. that meet customer specifications and industry standards. 

  1. Prepare and review technical drawings, plans, and related documents for accuracy and conformance to standards including ASME, OSHA, building code, fire code etc. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals. 

  1. Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout project development and execution. 

  1. Assist client with monitoring of performance and safety of processes and systems, and provide corrective action recommendations. 

  1. Collaborate with client, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 

  1. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and guidance to enhance their professional development. 

  1. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging technologies, and contribute to the firm’s continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, identifying best practices, and recommending process improvements. 

  1. Other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 

  1. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York state or eligible to obtain.  

  1. A minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering design and project experience. 

  1. Experience with CAD software including, Solidworks, Inventor and/or AutoCAD. 

  1. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. 

  1. Must be able and willing to travel to Canada. 

  1. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex engineering concepts to clients and non-technical stakeholders. 

  1. Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
